Matthew Carter, DVM, MRCVS

Dr. Carter is a 1995 graduate of UC Davis Veterinary School of Medicine. He purchased Central Animal Hospital in April of 2002. Before settling in Petaluma, he worked in hospitals overseas in London, England; the San Francisco Bay Area and the Central Valley of California. Dr. Carter has many hobbies and is very involved in the local community. He has served as President of the Redwood Empire Veterinary Medical Association, Chairman of the Petaluma Animal Services Advisory Committee, and served as a member of the Animal Welfare Services Advisory Committee for the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. He is an alumnus of Leadership Petaluma, class of 2003-2004. He volunteers for Santa Rosa Junior College on the Registered Veterinary Technician Advisory Committee and has taught courses at SRJC in the Veterinary Technician curriculum. 

Dr. Carter loves to swim, bicycle, play the violin, brew beers from local supplies, read and fly fish. He lives in Petaluma with his wife Jennifer and his twins, Lily and Mary Beth. The Carter's also share their home with cats Mylo, Figaro, and Cosmo; as well as dogs Elsie, Oscar and Sadie


 



Sara Woodberry, VMD

Dr. Woodberry earned her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania 2003. After working as a veterinarian in Massachusetts from 2003-2009, she returned to California, where she had spent her childhood. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, running, skiing, tennis and kayaking.
